MAN Truck & Bus South Africa has introduced its new TGS 26.470 6 X 4 BL SA TM Euro 6 truck, featuring the latest advancements in safety, emissions control, and driver assistance technology. This innovative truck model sets new benchmarks in sustainability and driver protection, aligning with MAN’s commitment to offering world- class transport solutions that prioritize driver comfort, safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
DRIVER ASSISTANCE SAFETY FEATURES
The TGS 26.470 Euro 6 truck is equipped with MAN OptiView, a digital mirror replacement system. Traditional mirrors are replaced with advanced digital cameras linked to two monitors inside the cab to increase both safety and driver comfort. The display adapts its view according to driving situation (forward/reverse and steering angle) and vehicle speed. The available views are: Standard, Zoom, Wide-Angle and Front Camera. The display also has integrated grid lines which assist the driver to assess the distance of surrounding vehicles.
Additional driver-assistance features include Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Lane Guard System (LGS), and Electronic Stability Control (ESP) with a dynamic stability program and Roll Over Prevention (ROP). Further enhancing driver and vehicle safety. This model comes with a driver’s airbag as standard.
DEDICATED EMISSION REDUCTION ENGINE TECHNOLOGY
In line with MAN’s dedication to reducing emissions and promoting environmental sustainability, the TGS 26.470 is powered by the MAN D2676 Euro 6d common rail engine. Delivering 346 kW of power at 1800 rpm and 2400 Nm between 930 – 1350 rpm. This engine comes with a myriad of new benefits such as:

The Euro 6d engine is equipped with the Portable Emissions Measurement System (PEMS). The PEMS technology in this vehicle prevents software manipulation of exhaust, ensuring accurate readings and a cleaner environment during real operation.

The TGS 26.470 Euro 6 truck incorporates several fuel-saving and maintenance-enhancing innovations, including the integration of advanced fuel filter modules, a leak-free injection system, and a cross-driveline control for optimized cooling.
